Before & After

Changes: Altered blue, red and yellow hues and adjustments in color temperature combined with brush tool.

Changes: Altered red and yellow hues.

Changes: Black & white and a subtle vignette.

Changes: +100 saturation, changes in red and blue hues.

Changes: Applied desaturation to the brush tool to remove the distracting green bowl in the corner.

 

 

Still Life

Do you see the glass as half full or half empty? This is the question my image conveys through a visual pun. The dark shadows and distortions in the image help invoke the ‘half empty’ aspect of this seemingly ancient statement, whereas the bright lights in the center and working outward feel more ‘half full’. This image is meant to portray an old saying in a new (and more literal) way.

        With this collection of photos, I embraced my materialistic side. When deciding what to feature in my photos to represent me, I was a little stumped. While in the process of capturing images, I began to notice my how interesting to photograph many of my every day and some of my more quirky belongings were. I wondered how my things would speak for me. My intention with this project is to allow the viewer to get an impression of who I am by looking at some of my belongings and think about what they own that best represents them.
